September AAFB Luncheon: People Not Pageviews with Javacia Harris Bowser

We are excited to welcome Javacia Harris Bowser, blogger, freelance journalist, and entrepreneur based in Birmingham and the founder and president of See Jane Write, an award-winning membership organization and website for women who write and blog. A strong blog community is an essential asset in online marketing and Javacia will be sharing advice and strategies for how to build yours. Topics covered will include how to brainstorm blog post ideas, how to create cohesive content consistently, how to repurpose blog posts for social media and more!

Javacia Harris Bowser is a proud graduate of the journalism programs at the University of Alabama and the University of California at Berkeley, Javacia has written for a number of local and national media outlets including USA Today, Good Grit magazine, Birmingham magazine, The Birmingham Times, and Birmingham’s NPR affiliate WBHM 90.3 FM. 

Because of See Jane Write, Javacia was once selected as one of the smartest women in Birmingham by the Women's Fund of Greater Birmingham’s SMART Party Committee, selected as one of Birmingham’s Top 40 Under 40 by the Birmingham Business Journal in 2015 and honored as one of Birmingham’s “Women Who Inspire” by Girls on the Run. In 2016 she was included in Southern Living magazine’s list of Innovators Changing the South, alongside household names like Dolly Parton and Reese Witherspoon and selected as one of 30 Women Who Shape the State by Alabama Media Group.  Javacia was a TEDxBirmingham speaker in 2018.
